Lords of the New Church "Open your Eyes"

"La verdad es el puñal de todos nosotros" esa es la lapidaria leyenda, que se leia, debajo de ese puñal con una calavera en el centro y todo.....Venía en la contraportada de del primer, y mejor, disco de "Los Señores de la Nueva Iglesia", era 1983.....Para mí siempre ha sido el comienzo del After-Punk, y junto con la epoca siniestra de the Cure y la epoca gotica de Sioushie & the Banshees han sido los pilares de la musica gotica y siniestra, que tanto dio que hablar....

Lords of the New Churh era una reunión de amigos y conocidos, en eso que se suele llamar un "supergrupo", parece ser que la idea partio del guitarrista y cantante norteamericano Stiv Bators, que a pesar de ser todo un personaje, nunca logro el reconocimiento de su banda Dead Boys, el fue el que convencio al guitarrista britanico de Dammed, Brian James y aglutinarón a Dave Tregunna de Sham69 y a Nicky Turner de los Barracudas.
